Recently there was a survey done of new regular attenders at ACC, and the overwhelming majority stated that one of the first things they noticed about our church is the friendly, welcoming atmosphere on Sunday mornings. Today I want to give a shout out to our Guest Services Team – our ushers, greeters, and welcome center workers – who serve to create this kind of welcoming atmosphere week after week. Some of you may not even know that there are greeters assigned to stand in the lobby and welcome people each week, but I believe that this team helps facilitate one of our church’s greatest strengths: a friendly, welcoming community. This strength of ours also flows directly from one of our core values as a church: We will be a loving community where grace propels and permeates everything we do by serving each other humbly, living in harmony, and seeking relational authenticity.
So next time you see our Guest Services team in action, join me in thanking them for making everyone who walks through our doors feel loved and welcome. (Hint: look for the people wearing the blue nametag lanyards!)
