THE ACC YEAR END CHALLENGE!

Generosity-is-the-habit-of-giving-freely

The challenge is clear:

Tell them to use their money to do good. They should be rich in good works and generous to those in need, always being ready to share with others.  By doing this they will be storing up their treasure as a good foundation for the future so that they may experience true life.          [1 Timothy 6:18-19]

God wants ACC to be a generous church. He desires for us to be people who enthusiastically step to be a blessing to others. With this in mind, I want to announce our 2015 Year End Giving Project.

Over and above what we normally give, the leadership has set a goal for us to raise $15,000 by the end of December. This money will be distributed as follows:

  • $10,000 to Zak & Laura O’Leary for their launching expenses as they prepare to leave in the next year as missionaries to Papua, New Guinea. This fund will get them on their way – covering such things as airlines tickets, visas, training fees, setting up their new household, etc. The O’Learys are anxious to join our missionaries Jerry & Sue Pfaff in New Guinea as they work in bible translation to bring the word of God to the people there.
  • $5,000 to Wings – a local, non-profit organization that is focused on providing housing, integrated services, education and advocacy to victims of domestic violence.

What a difference our generosity could make in our community and halfway around the world! Together we can reach our goal of $15,000.

You can give online or write a check payable to Arlington Countryside Church and write “Year End Giving Project” in the memo line. Together we can do this!

Thanks in advance for your generosity. We are committed to being a blessing to others.

Peace,
Dave

P.S. Gifts must be postmarked or given to the church office by December 31.
